On my walk today I spotted some children throwing food for the geese, here they are foraging around...one of the geese was a proper stroppy bird.

Whilst out walking today I took a few pics of the Canada geese that were foraging near the lake...but first I spied the neighbour's new hen
Under the trees near the lake there were shadows and sunlight on the autumn leaves...the duck was in there somewhere..it did a good job of blending in
There were scores of Canada geese and they were all around me
....and here they all are on the lake

It was a nice morning this morning so t'old man and myself took the opportunity to savour the outdoors.
We decided to visit Pugneys water Park and then walk through the fields to reach Sandal Castle.
Some-one else was out for a stroll too it seems
Sandal Castle is the site where Richard Plantagenet(Grand old Duke of York) fell in the battle of Wakefield in 1460. It is a ruin now but it is still a nice place to wander around.
The approach to the site from the direction where the battle is purported to have taken place.
