    I spied a dragonfly

    I've been out in my garden today inbetween the showers

    I spied with my little eye,
    a flying thing called a dragonfly
    his colours though were not very bright
    but he was perfectly formed alright!

  • A spied a similar thing today
    perhaps he would have flown away
    but the cat was also on the spot
    he swiped it down and ate the lot.

    No honestly - and this bit won't rhyme. It really happened. Nature is very cruel. I had to come inside because I couldn't bear the crunching.
